Why Pinterest? Your Questions Answered

Why Pinterest Works

Why Small Businesses Need To Be On Pinterest

I’m too busy for another social media account!! How much time would I need to spend on Pinterest?

There is no set answer to how much time it takes to be successful. But once you are using Pinterest *correctly* it may be something you do only once or twice a week. Pinterest is a search engine it isn’t a social media account! Your Pins will go on forever and will continue to drive traffic to your website long after you’ve pinned them. Invest time and Pinterest will pay off long-term.

Is Pinterest the right place to showcase my products or services?

If your business has a visual story to tell, Pinterest will work for you. Travel, interiors, gardening, wellness, beauty, parenting, arts and crafts, fashion and food are among the most searched topics on Pinterest. People want to find you!

Will people actually buy my product/service from Pinterest?

Pinterest can help your brand fit into someone’s life: Pinterest recently surveyed Pinners on how they use Pinterest to shop. 72% said Pinterest inspires them to shop when they weren’t even looking to purchase something and 90% say Pinterest helps them decide what to buy!  According to research released by Millward Brown they found that 93% of Pinners have used Pinterest to plan a future purchase and a whopping 87% of Pinners have purchased a product because of Pinterest. When you add a mix of aspirational and actionable Pins with a direct link to your website you will be encouraging your perfect customer to buy and making it as easy as possible for them to do so! Do I need a blog?

You don’t need a blog to be on Pinterest. We would recommend that this should be part of your long term marketing strategy, but you can create beautiful Pins that link to your website without a blog that will drive traffic.

I don’t have enough content and images to pin?

You don’t need to be a graphic designer or hire one. There are user-friendly apps to create stunning pin-worthy designs easily and quickly. But you don’t have to pin just your content in fact it’s good practice to pin a mix of your own stuff and others. That way you will build a unique, inspirational Pinterest account.
